Counselling for JEE / NEET / NTSE aspirants
The basic aim of counselling is to put the brains on the right track. One should know what and how to do. What are the “Right way to study”, “How to do best in JEE / NEET”, “How much time required” for success etc.
The counsellors are available to discuss and solve any personal issue or concern which may arise. Their constant motivation and encouragement keeps the minds of the students free of doubts and apprehensions.
We give proper guidance and counselling to the aspirants about the various methods and give suitable advice to choose the best practices of action. The expert counselling sessions are addressed by senior faculties and IIT graduates who have distinguished themselves in different areas.
What is Counselling?
- Counselling is an opportunity to talk with a trained professional about issues or challenges you are facing.
- Counselling can provide support and help you to explore your options during difficult times.
- Counselling can help you see a situation from a different perspective and provide coping strategies.
- Counselling can also assist you to change unhelpful patterns, and identify and further develop your strengths.
- Counselling can be particularly useful if you feel that there is no-one to talk to, and would like some help in making a difficult decision.
What will the Counsellor do?
Your counsellor will:
- Listen to you
- Discuss your goals for counselling
- Discuss what the counselling will involve
- Give you information about confidentiality
- Ask questions about you and your situation to tailor their approach to your needs
- Ensure that you are comfortable speaking with them. If you are not comfortable speaking with a particular counsellor you can ask to speak to someone else.
- Treat you with respect regardless of your background
- Provide information
- Regularly review whether counselling is being helpful for you.
How long will counselling take?
- The number of sessions you have with a counsellor will depend on your needs and the type of issue you are facing.
- Your counsellor will discuss this with you in the first session.
- Educore do not provide a long-term counselling service, and most Students attend for between 3-to-5 sessions.
What is the cost of counselling?
- Counselling is Rs. 300 per session, or Rs.200 for Students who have a concession card.
